Great News!

Last time, I posted about Cholera, and how awful it is. Well, I have great news! Joseph Bazalgette has constructed a sewerage system! Finally the conditions of the streets are a lot more clean and healthy. The streets don't smell anymore and there is clean sanitation. Finally, it is a place that you could actually live in.

King Cholera

 As I look around all I see is people sick and dying. Something has to be done to stop cholera. The conditions are appauling! I was talking to a doctor today and he said an untreated person with cholera can produce 10-20 litres of diarrhea in a single day! and once a person has cholera, they can have only hours to live. This is the most awful disease! There should be a sewage line where waste can be disposed of properly!  People can not live like this!!

Good News!

A while ago, I posted about how I saw children working in factories, well I am very happy to say that today, in my time travels, I skipped forward a few years, and found out there (that children are still working in factories) But, a new law has come out. There is an age limit and working hours are shorter. I am so glad! It is still terrible that children are still working in factories, but at least they aren't as young, plus conditions have gotten a lot better. Hopefully in the future, children won't even have to work to support their families.

Telephones

Another very exciting day! Today the very first telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. I never realised how much Phones have changed over the years! The very first telephone was very big and bulky, whereas mobile phones today can easily fit in the palm of your hand! look at the first telephone compared to my phone today!

Everything is so different here!

Wow, this place is very different to home! For example when we want to sew something, we just use a sewing machine, it requires no effort at all, we only have to press a button. However, people today have to use a Spinning Jenny! It requires a lot of effort and is very difficult to use. Here are some photos of it I took today;

Big news!

Hi guys! I can't believe it! Everything is changing dramatically! Since i've been here, Transportation has expanded, Electricity has been harnessed effectively and major improvements have been made to the industrial processes . Everywhere I look, everything is changing! I have been "sight-seeing" all day. Today James Watt invented the very first photocopier! Everyone was so intrigued by it! Here is a photo I took of it today;
